Bruce Obermeyer I just received this news about Ruth Obermeyer: The problem for the last year or longer has been "Cranial Arteritis, also known as Granulomatous Arteritis, Temporal Arteritis and Giant Cell Arteritis" (may not be spelled exactly) but it has not been the arthritis as was thought. It is the #1 cause of blindness in elderly but none of the DRs put all the pieces together. Mom is blind in the left and nearly blind in the right. Prognosis is she may keep some sight 10-20% (or more if she is lucky) with the Prednisone therapy, but she may lose sight completely. Nothing you can do if this happens. She began losing sight in the other eye last week. The DR didn't completely diagnose it until Friday so she went from Monday til Friday when she could have been taking drugs to save the right eye vision. We're a little upset but we just have to go on. 4/15/99 obie@gte.net This one.
Bruce Obermeyer Anyone who has updates to post, you can post them here if you don't have time to e-mail me. I will put them on the Home Page as soon as I can. Thanks. 4/15/1999 obie@gte.net This one.
Kevin Obermeyer Hershel Flowers passed away this morning at about 6:20 a.m. He basically just stopped breathing and went peacefully in his sleep, as we should want. No arrangements have been made as yet. 4/18/99 obie@gte.net This one
Bruce Obermeyer In the midst of all our grief and saddness, I can still take a moment to wish my mother, Ruth Obermeyer, a happy and healthy 84th birthday (I hope I counted correctly). I love you, Mother. 4/19/1999 obie@gte.net This one.

Myrt Ott I was so sorry to hear about Dad #2 last night when I called to see if you had damage from the tornado. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time of sorrow. Know that he is with God and my Dad watching all of us from above! We love you guys! May 6, 1999 myrt.ott@comal.txed.net N/A
Linda Flowers The tornado has really devasted my state and community. There are still so many missing and the destruction is unbelievable. Please pray for my mother, Georgann. Even though she was not injured and her home is still standing, she is really having a hard time. She lost so many friends and many friends of hers lost everything they owned. The cleanup and rebuilding will take a long time. May 6, 1999 lflowers@pipeline.com N/A

Heidi & Rob & baby Habash Hi everybody!! I am having a blast being pregnant, except for the constant aching in my hip-joints. Last Sunday, I couldn't get out of bed, or walk on my left side--Rob was making fun of me!! Baby is fine--I caught "his" hand last night when "he" was doing "his" nightly aeorobics. Love y'all, more later. (Heidi). 9-23-99 Heidi4404@aol.com N/A
Elesix R. Estepa Morning Mr. Obermeyer, Although you do not know who I am, I read about your family in the Wichita Newspaper excerpt that you provided my Fiance, Jim Singletary (SPEEA Rep). I was very interested in seeing your site and maybe getting to know and understand your words. Now I do. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Rejoice in your family now for time changes all. Merely remember that GOD and his Love are our one constant in life and death. Love, live long, prosper and may GOD Bless you in all things. 27 Nov 99 EstepaE@msn.com
Brian Schmidt Fight the good fight Brother. I'm a former Ordnance Officer from the U.S. Army and spent 18 years on active duty and active reserve status. The Veterans Administration has fit to deny me Veterans status. Go figure! I have to depend on God myself for other things in my life and I can tell you that faith works! 29 November 99 chainsaw57@hotmail.com

David Coffey Very happy to see that Mommy Heidi and baby Ashley Meredith are doing well. Hope Mrs. Flowers and all the other family did well through the holidays. I know that it was not the same as others past, but the Lord is the same yesterday, today and all of the tomorrows. His shoulders are broad and able to carry any load that we need Him to carry for us. Lord bless you all. David Coffey 12/26/99 sfh@telepath.com stufflebeanfuneralhome.com (not up and running yet)

Linda Flowers The Oklahoma Bombing Memorial section is wonderful. I lost two former students and several friends that day. I encourage everyone to try to see this Memorial, it is a very moving place. 06-13-00 lflowers@pipeline.com
Phil & Ramona Arnold You've made some excellent improvements to your home page since we last visited. It was already a very good hp. We have driven by the OKC Bombing Memorial a couple times in the last month. It is an awesome site. We have plans to see it at night. We heard it is absolutely gorgeous after dark. Ramona has received limited guardianship over L.B. after the trial, but the Judge has ruled that they (Eloise and L.B.) may move to P.V. or Wynnewood if that is what they want to do. The full explanation is longer than we have time to explain right now. We'll be in touch by phone later on. Great Home page, Bruce. We'll be in touch! June 17, 2000 parnold1@mmcable.com

Eve Blanton I've really enjoyed looking over your site. I was deeply touched while reading about your family and Promise Keepers. My husband is also a Promise Keeper, and I was able to help out at one event in Dallas. My best friend lives in Yukon, OK, and they felt the quake when the bomb happened that day. Something no one will ever forget. I have started many businesses on the web, (only been on since Sept. 2000), but haven't been able to create a satisfactory web-page as of yet. Your page is excellent, full of content! 1-19-01 juice4life@itilink.com

Ron Talley I was looking, with my friend and confesssor, Fr. Jack Welsh, for information about the National Memorial Museum of Oklahoma City. And, that's how I stumbled upon your Familyu site. You may be assured of my prayers for your family. My wife, Leah, and I have five children at home and a daughter in university at the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque. Her name is Erica. We live presently in a small town in Louisiana called Sunset. Our fond desire is to move back out West. We dislike the South intensely. It's a matter of money and logistics. (As I say, we have five children at home between the ages of 3 and twelve years old. I am disabled and my wife works at the Barnes & Noble in Lafayette. She manages the Children's book department. As soon as possible we will move to the land we love--the Southwest. Barring that we will certainly move away and out of the South. We ask for your prayers for our intentions as well. And we thank yu in advance. Ron and Leah Talley PS May God bless you and yours. May 3, 2001 ctn85870@centurytel.net

Dan Weakley Wow! what luck! I was scrolling through old messages by Opaobie and found this on the first try from back in October! Anyway, the reason was I needed Opaobie to jump in and help me in a very interesting debate on "Point/Counterpoint" entitled "Keep your religion out of my face, please" and I know a fellow Christian like Opa could not only provide intelligent and informed commentary but I would like to hear from him again! Jill Curran I ran across your home page and wanted to say that you are all in our prayers and hope you make it through the many difficulties that you are facing. My mother was an Obermeyer from Herington, KS. Not sure if you are any relative or not as this was a fairly good size family. Her parent's name was Herman and Genevieve Obermeyer. My mother passed away from breast cancer so I have been in your shoes. Wishing your family the best. 7/24/02 jrdragmom@hotmail.com
