The Military Heritage & Aviation Museum is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation that has been in existence for more than seven years. The Museum is located in Fishermen’s Village in Punta Gorda, Florida.

Visitors to the museum might also wish to tour Fisherman's Village, with its unmatched Boutiques and excellent restaurants.

The Museum is funded by donations and grants, and a paid executive director and administrative assistant are supported by 35 volunteers -- mostly veterans -- who work as Museum guides and help in other ways.

The Museum currently displays more than 30,000 military artifacts from as far back as the Spanish-American War to the current conflict in Iraq. The Museum is a testament to the hundreds of thousands of men and women who have defended our freedom by putting their lives on the line through their military service.

This is a copy of the front page of the "Honolulu Advertiser" dated Sunday, Nov. 30 1941
(exactly one week before "Pearl Harbor") with the headline

"Japanese May Strike Over Weekend"

This may be the only copy of this page left outside the archives of the newspaper itself.
It was "stashed" by a GI in the hospital when he realized that the military was
coming around ripping the front page off every copy of this paper it could find.
